On a corner plot the usual mistake is to treat one street as the front and the other as a side, which leaves a long blank wall somewhere.

Here the balconies wrap continuously around the corner so both elevations are equally considered. The corner itself is expressed as a recessed vertical slot, which breaks the mass at the point where it would otherwise be heaviest and gives the flats on that side a sheltered outdoor corner.

Exposed brick is used on the projecting elements and white render behind, so the building reads as a set of layered planes rather than a single block. Planting runs along the roof parapet, and commercial space at ground level keeps the street frontage active.
